Mushiki Kuga「玖く珂が 無む色しき^?」 is the main protagonist of King's Proposal. He is an ordinary high schooler who has inherited the body and identity of Saika Kuozaki and is assuming them to retain order at Void Garden.

Appearance

Mushiki, in his original form, appears as an average height young androgynous looking boy in his teens with messy white hair and sky blue eyes. After becoming a student of Void's garden himself, he is given the male student uniform.

Due to an incident involving him and Saika, Mushiki's consciousness has now fused with Saika's body, thus sharing her appearance.

Personality

Mushiki has a personality of a typical teenager: getting flustered by unknown situation and girls, and becoming serious whenever needed to. He is also extremely soft-spoken and spoke in a very polite way of speaking.

He notably shows a very strong admiration for Saika Kuozaki, describing himself to fall in love with her at first sight and described her in a flamboyant and excited manner whenever she is mentioned, much to Kuroe Karasuma's apparent disgust.

Before they parted ways because of currently unknown circumstances, it is stated that Mushiki is a good older brother for his younger sister Ruri Fuyajo, which is proven by her having a very fond memory of him.

Assuming Saika's body, Mushiki is forced to also adapt to her personality quirks in order to assume her identity.

Synopsis

Volume 1

On his way back to home, Mushiki suddenly stumbles in a strange space where he discovers a mysterious girl near-death and collapsed onto the ground. Despite the grotesque imaginary invoked with her injuries, Mushiki falls in love with the girl's beauty. After realizing the girl is still barely alive, he tries to help her, only to be struck down from behind by the girl's mysterious attacker. Upon waking up, he finds himself in an unknown room.

Powers and Abilities

Mushiki's powers as a magician first manifested in his childhood to save himself and Ruri from a Destruction Factor. However, due to Ruri's deal with the Fuyajo family, Mushiki was mind wiped of remembering ever using his powers, and he lived a normal life. Fusing with Saika's body awakened his latent powers, but as a magician, Mushiki is still a novice and can only use up to his personal Second Manifestation when his emotions become heated. In Saika mode, he is able to access the full raw strength of Saika's magic, but his skills lack finesse and control.

First Manifestation

Unnamed First Manifestation: Using Saika's mana in his body, Mushiki can shoot bullets of light, which can be used both to attack and, by turning them into platforms, to move.

Second Manifestation

Name: Hollow Edge「零至剣ホロウ・エッジ^?」
Description: In Second Manifestation, two strokes of the world crest appear above Mushiki's head, resembling a distorted crown. A transparent flat-blade appears in his hands. While Mushiki hasn't quite figure out Hollow Edge's true powers, the blade has the ability to shatter opposing magic like glass. When used against Leviathan, it was enough to dispel the cursed poison it had casted on Ao Fuyajo 200 years ago. After training with Ruri, Mushiki gained the ability to consciously chose whether or not to use Hollow Edge to dispel his opponent's magic.

Saika Mode

When supplied enough magical power via a kiss by Kuroe, Mushiki can transform into Saika Kuozaki and use her powers. However, Mushiki's control is greatly connected to his own mental state. If his emotions grows out of control, his body will subsequently release too much magical power, forcing him back into his original form as a safe mode to conserve power.

Second Manifestation

Name: Stellarium「未観察の箱庭ステラリウム^?」
Description: Summons a magical wand with a globe-like ornament at the tip of the staff. The wand holds the power to alter the world, albeit to a limited extent. It’s a technique that can be used in a variety of ways depending on the imagination of the operator. For Mushiki, he often uses it to command the surrounding scenery to attack or restrain his enemies.

Third Manifestation

Name: Animaclad「不確定の王国アニマクラッド^?」
Description: Creates a magic mantle on the user's body, consisting of light and protecting him from enemy attacks. By equipping Animaclad, Mushiki's physical abilities are boasted to superhuman levels. The outfit also servers as armor that was able to neutralize an attack by Future Saika's fire dragon.

Fourth Manifestation

Name: Void Garden「可能性の世界ヴォイド・ガーデン^?」
Description: Creates a copy of the existing world in which the user can decide the future by selecting the created probabilities. By creating them through magic, its user brings the world to his desired state. Since the possibilities of this manifestation are not limited by anything other than user's mind, he is virtually invincible in this world. Using the Void Garden, Mushiki could move the high buildings off their foundations and aim them like a weapon with absolutely no effort at all.

• His given name Mushiki (無色) means "Colorless" or "Without Colors".
• Mushiki is only eleven month older than Ruri.
• Mushiki's voice actor Koki Uchiyama and Shido's voice actor Nobunaga Shimazaki is part of virtual idol unit duo LIPxLIP.
• His dormitory room in Void Garden, Room 315, can also be read as "Saika" in goroawase.
